Buongiorno

I love the simplicity of this painting.  The family's trying to catch a breeze with the open doorway.  I'm wondering what's inside.  Who's bike is that, and is the basket big enough to hold the family's produce for dinner?  Laundry in Italy always captures my eye.  Sometimes, in the middle of sketching such a scene, the Mama casually reaches out her upstairs window, starts tugging at the clothes line and I think...Oh, no!  I guess sketching time is up!

This painting is UV-varnished so that it requires no glass.  It's framed in a dark wood, with a nice off white wooden liner to set it all off.  I'm happy to send you a picture of the frame if you'll let me know where to send it.
