The Artist's Story

I was born in Montreal, Canada in 1952 and moved to Memphis, TN in 1981.  In 2006, I moved to historic downtown Summerville, SC. 

While some of my earlier work was concerned mainly with realism, my new paintings have pushed me toward a more personal, intuitive and semi-abstract style.  It has allowed me to fuse all of my past explorations and rediscover myself as the artist I am today.

Over the past 27 years, I've been active on the boards of various art guilds and volunteered my time on what I've considered very worthwhile non-profit projects.  I have also had the honor of serving as juror or judge for various art competitions.

I teach both adults and children in ongoing studio classes or in workshop settings.  I have a 3-day Acrylics (Mixed Media) workshop for adults coming up on March 1-2-3 in the Charleston area (click on LESSONS above for additional information).
